The lying thief

My wife has a sick desire to steal. Whenever we go to someone else's house, I have to return a bunch of things she stole from them in the least noticeable way. Last week, I had to go to my friend's house to return his CD case full of DVDs that she stole. When I was there, he walked into the room as I was putting it back where I know he keeps it. Not knowing that my kleptomaniac lifemate stole it and that I was returning it, he looked at me as if I were stealing it. He gave me a funny look and said “what are you doing man”? What was I supposed to say? “Oh, my wife stole this so I'm putting it back”.  I didn't know what to say so it really did look as I were about to steal it. So in the end, I was the one who was embarrassed because of her mistake. Because of her I lost a friend, thats enough to justify this lifemates complaint. This wasn't the first time I looked bad after she stole something. I can't tell you how many times I have to go back to clothing stores, bookstores, appliance stores, grocery stores, and hardware stores to return things she stole. I'm tired of being the one who's thought of as a thief of every storeowner in Canada. I had enough of her. If she visits this lifemates complaints site, she should know that I am considering a divorce.
